Then a few months after I moved to said politically diverse neighborhood (Bellows Falls VT to be exact) my upstairs neighbor emptied his 9mm pistol in to my car, probably because of his dislike of my politics. So now I'm a bit more leery of diversity for its own sake. I was a bit su...</title><content type='html'>This is a very interesting article. I was a bit surprised that the author didn't mention race and class, two big factors in choosing a home. I agree with his assessment that living in a politically homogeneous neighborhood does little create dialogue/broaden our minds. However, I would rather have been caught dead hanging out at CMC (the conservative college near Scripps) than at Pitzer (a Hampshire-esq college). I am guilty as charged of doing the exact same thing.
